If he made racist statements in his videos (which I haven't watched, nor I want to. I don't care enough about this scandal to investigate), I can see why they would wish to erase his work in the game.
People that got offended by Jon would refuse to buy the game.
They're trying to repair the damage they would get in sales, who knows if it will work or not.
I don't care if the game has Jon's voices or not. And I haven't decided if I'll buy it yet.
And I don't see that as an attack to his freedom of speech, it's not about that, it's about $$$.

I am looking at this game as soon as it's reasonably priced, but wouldn't have looked at if it comprised JonTron shit, which is my right as customer.

Concerning JonTron, responsibility and media reaction, Jim Sterling was quite on point in his comparison.

There is a big difference between organic change due to assimilation into the established culture vs vastly different cultures springing up and fighting for dominate control. The first is fine and is totally okay when you have a controlled legal influx of different people. Here in America we have many different types of food, and ideas that were directly born out of organic changing of culture. The latter is not and is common when you have an uncontrolled large influx of people who may or may not have a completely different culture that is incompatible with Western or European values.

So in a sense your are correct, but what people are afraid of is an influx of large uncontrolled immigration where assimilation doesn't take place.

Ok. I can accept that.
But is there any evidence that this is or will happen?
According to Wikipedia (not always the best source I know, but it's easily accessible so it's the first thing that came up) the population of the USA is 308 Million. 72% of those are white and 63% are non Hispanic white.

So in what numbers do these other cultures need to arrive to be considered a threat for dominate control? I'd say you'd need at least 50% of the population of the established cultural majority, if not 75% to 100%.
Even if you assume that the culture you're worried about is Mexican/Hispanic rather than Middle Eastern/Muslim and you remove the Hispanic population already in the US (about 30 Million) then your still talking about another 70 Million plus people needing to arrive to complete displace the current US culture. According to that same page immigration was 1 million in 2011, even assuming an increase in the years since then your still talking 50 + years (with an unchanging white population) and no assimilation what so ever of those immigrants before you reach that tipping point.

So really in the grand scheme of things that seems like a pretty ludicrous fear.

It's not just the woman who live in the dark ages. When you have to toilet train grown adults they also don't want to learn how to use a toilet and the government of India is paying people to poop and Muslims Poop in the shower and Germany now has put up signs to "educate" illiterate parasites to not sh*t where you are cleaning yourself.

I think celebrity should stay out of politics and let people use their own determinations instead of using fame to sway voters. I don't think games companies should be doing anything other then making games, and should leave fads and trends that don't fit into the game from real life out of the game.

YookaLaylee doesn't appeal to me and I think they should leave random celebrities out of their game unless they really wanted to use their voice ect. not just putting people in because they are famous.

The problem is that it's from neofag.
This issue is gaining traction as other users are also expressing discontent over being censored for supporting JonTron, and being displeased with a game they financially backed turning into a sociopolitical platform.
A cynical person might say this is some kind of outrage advertising campaign. However their publishers community managers look like what you would expect.
