hi all,

I have a question for you.
Why there is no possibility to pre order a game on GOG?
For example i would like to buy Hyper Light Drifter but the only possibility on the website is to buy a Steam key.

Why there is no GOG alternative?

And it's the same for a lot of games...Pre order have sometimes avantages (cheaper)

There is no solution. Sometimes, the game becomes available as a pre-order later and sometimes, it just releases without any pre-order at all.

Some games release as pre-orders here, some do not. Your best bet is to push the idea of GOG to the publishers/developers of the game and make it clear that you're not bending over to them to play their games, but rather that they must bend over to you in order to play their games (and that's what it should be). Unfortunately it has to be this way...

Yes i know, but this is an exception. You can pre-orders 90% of new games on Steam and maybe only 1% here.
I don't understand why Devs doesn't think to GOG....

What do you get out of pre-ordering exactly? I can understand such a thing with physical games, because you'd want to secure your copy upon release. Does it really matter if you spend the money now, as opposed to when it's actually available?
