[i]The name "Agent 47" is just a whisper on the lips of the dead, because if he comes calling for you, you will never even know... until it's too late.

IO Interactive is an independent Danish video game developer based in Copenhagen. They say their task is to deliver exciting world class entertainment, and create games that play and feel like the people who created them. It’s their way of making sure that they always deliver something unique and interesting. And because we wholeheartedly believe they succeed at that, we’ve prepared a special IO Interactive sale with their titles discounted up to -80% until November 30th, 11 PM UTC!

You can get the studio's Freedom Fighters, an intense third-person action game set in an alternate history New York during the invasion of a foreign superpower with a -70% deal, 5 Hitman titles ( Codename 47, Blood Money, Absolution, Silent Assassin, Contracts) with -80% discounts each and a IOI Collection gathering all of these games on a 75% off promotion!

But that’s not all. Yesterday, on November 20th, we’ve been celebrating 10th anniversary of Hitman: Absolution - a beloved entry in IO Interactive’s biggest series. This action-stealth TPP game follows the Original Assassin undertaking his most personal contract to date. Betrayed by the Agency and hunted by the police, Agent 47 finds himself pursuing redemption in a corrupt and twisted world.

As part of that celebration we’d like you to revisit 3 of our favourite missions that await us in Absolution! Let’s take a look at what Agent 47 has been up to this time. And be warned, spoilers ahead!

Death Factory

12th mission in the game, consisting of 3 segments: Test Facility, Decontamination, and R&D. In the previous mission, 47 infiltrated Dexter Industries, and uncovered the secret R&D Facility, where Victoria (genetically enhanced teenage girl who has similar origins to that of Agent 47) was experimented on recently. Inside, he targets Marcus Green, an explosives developer, Raymond Valentine, an arms developer, Warren Ashford, the bio-engineer in charge of examining Victoria, and all researchers in the facility. Why do we like it? It’s a really cool location and it allows us to carry out some of the most creative assassinations in the whole series.

Shaving Lenny

Mission nine. After successfully retrieving Agent’s 47 signature Silverballers, we make our way to where Lenny Dexter, the son of the CEO of Dexter Industries and the leader of the Hope Cougars gang could be found: downtown Hope. In order to extract the location of Victoria and simultaneously thwart the Cougars' plan to conspire against Dexter Industries, we have to eliminate their entire roster and kidnap Lenny himself. It provides us with a nice wide open-area approach in Streets of Hope and it brings immense satisfaction to get rid off the gang that is very much disliked by most people in Hope.

King Of Chinatown

The King of Chinatown is the second mission of Hitman: Absolution and it consists of a single segment, Chinatown Square. You probably saw this one coming as it is an absolute fan favourite. The scenario takes place in Chinatown in Chicago, Illinois. Birdie, an informant, asks Agent 47 to kill an up-and-coming local gangster known as the King. While it does offer us an interesting open area and a multitude of creative ways to eliminate our targets, what makes it amazing is the sheer atmosphere and the production value. True Hitman experience.

And what are your favourite missions? Feel free to let us know and refresh your memory of the series with our IO Interactive Sale!

Any update on Hitman 2016? Also, it'd be cool if Absolution received achievement support Galaxy!

Thanks. Fixed. They try to kill me with a number of parallel sales ;)
There was also some data glitch causing 0$ prices displayed. I had to reset and re-run the script.
Do you have some news about Hitman 2016 ?

No matter if they removed the DRM or not?

Could be under an NDA that prevents them from talking about it. Not saying that is what the issue is but it is the most likely business reason.

Probably wont. It's essentially "DRM, the game". It's awesome, but it's really deeply structured around corporate surveillance and online obligations. DRM is its backbone, I can't see it being removed and replaced unless IOI decides to rebuild it from the ground up. And as they're still busy adding to it, I doubt it's in their near or far future plans.
Saw a Hitman sale and thought "They (GOG) must have figured out the Hitman (2016) issue!" But sadly...

... no.

Well, Skyrim showed up here, so maybe in time...? Back to sleep
I didn't refund Hitman 2016, but I've not played it either (well 10 minutes before the DRM issues were revealed), it sits in my library waiting for the day it gets updated.

I still hold hope that IO will fix it
I would also love an update on the likelihood of the new Hitman games coming here. Please? Even a simple "Fuhgeddaboudit" from GOG would be something, so that I can stop hoping.

After the terrible way the Hitman (2016) release was handled, I'd rather GOG not touch the new trilogy with a 10ft stick. That is, unless IO themselves patch out the online necessity.

And you are not alone because, looking at the achievements page on your profile, there are people who completed it all without refunding (?).

I would instantly buy it if it ever comes back fixed!
I too am waiting for Hitman 2016 to return DRM-free. I hope IOI knows that the demand is there if they're willing to fix the game.
