i marked a game as owned even though i have never played the game before so i marked it as owned and it had to be linked to an executable file so i linked it to the gog launcher but it said gog was running and so that wasn't possible so i tried war thunder's launcher didn't work either.

if someone could help me by telling me which executable file i could link this game or how to get one executable file that'll be really helpful thanks in advance =)

You link it to the exe of the installed game. If it's not installed, don't; linking is not a requirement.

If you don't have the game installed, do not click the Link Executable button. You can still mark the game as owned -- linking the executable is optional (and only applicable if you actually have the game installed on your system).

You don't necessarily need to purchase the game through GOG. If you've purchased the game through some other source -- Steam, Epic, Origin, or even a physical disc copy -- you can install the game through that source, and then have GOG Galaxy link to its executable.
