SimonZephyr: When I opened up the folder with the downloader, it had no uninstall.exe
rtcvb32: If the program isn't present in the '
programs and features' section in your control panel, it's pretty safe you can just delete the program folder and call it good. There will be lingering remains in your
$user$/appdata/ folder, but the downloader shouldn't have installed anything that actually needs special removal or extra features, and as nothing is likely to depend on the downloader it's safer too. (
Reminds me of making programs that rely solely on the standard library, makes installation without dependencies a cinch :) )
Optionally if you delete the folder and then find it in the '
programs and features' section, simply click '
uninstall' on it and it will tell you the folder is missing and offer to remove it from the list.
Thanks, this is what I'm looking for. I think if I changed my mind, I think I can still download the downloader.
