Hello, I'm having problems with Rayman Raving Rabbids

I'm trying to launch the game on Win11. The game seems to start fine. I can use the mouse and keyboard in the Main Menu, but when I get into the game, after the cutscene, I can't control anything - the mouse and keyboard stop working suddenly. I also tried plugging in an Xbox controller but that doesn't work as well.

Any ideas about what is causing this? Any help much appreciated!

I guess you already tried to disconnect all gamepads?
Of course I did, I initially started the game without any gamepads whatsoever. Unfortunately there are no solutions to the problem on the forums you mentioned.

So I've tried the game on my own computer (using Windows 8.1 64 bit) and I didn't experience that issue, but I've noticed that game is starting in window (but stretched on entire screen). After changing screen resolution it goes full screen.

This may sound irrelevant, but I know that some older games are "jumping" between different apps/windows. for example to show the animation and then jumping back to "game". And sometimes it makes window with game inactive.

I would try following steps:

1.Changing screen resolution to make it full screen.
2.When the game (actual game) is loaded, try to minimize it and restore it, to make it "on surface".

Thanks I've tried that but - the Esc key works and I can enter the menu. The mouse there works as well. Still can't do anything else.
According to

https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Rayman_Raving_Rabbids

you can't change the controller device on the fly, only from the main menu. It should list the detected default controllers. Do they say keyboard and mouse? Otherwise you have to change the settings here.

If that fails you can try to run the game with the compatibility mode "Windows XP".
