Anyone know if Rebel Galaxy: Outlaw is coming to GOG?
It seems to be an Epic Store exclusive for now and likely for some longer time.

"To be as clear as possible - we're all-in on the Epic Store. We love what they're trying to accomplish for both devs and customers, & they are awesome to work with. Will RGO come to other stores? At some point, sure, but not for a while."
sequel?

Yes I know I could Google it but I trust all of you more.

Bummer :( I was "all in" on these guys and actually went so far as to stalk their facebook eagerly waiting for a release date of the original. To support them, I bought it here Day One in gratitude for them releasing immediately. I guess I won't be doing it this time around until... "at some point... but not for a while."

Letdown guys :( LOVED your game.

As a side note, this is sort of what eventually pushed me away from console gaming. It seemed like somewhere around late last generation, all of a sudden I couldn't get a "full" "real" game with all the stuff I bought and paid for, without giving my email to this service, signing up for that market, creating a new ingame account with DEV X etc etc etc. So I checked out.

I know the app generation don't care about creating an account for a subscription based model with all their information to EVERYTHING but it's just not something an old fuddy like me wants to do. I'd be really bummed if the storefront exclusive model starts to fracture the gaming universe even more.

Many thanks for the link. I had to unblock twitter from my list of trash sites on Firefox but it was well worth it for the read.

But the Epic store?!? Makes the who problem of game libraries even worse when companies go exclusive. Unless they're offering a version of the game on GOG and Steam when purchasing from the Unreal store then it's simply taking the choice away from consumers. They've just lost my support.

Prequel, cockpit-focused this time.

No Capital ships, was the trade-off for 3D fighting.

I thought it was a great idea. Have a line with the 2D capital fighting and another with 3D. Then there's the awesome soundtracks ........ Was so looking forward to the next instalment.

I loved the soundtrack in the first one because I could make it.

Nothing like space combat with The Ramones blasting away.

Yeah. I'm a bit worried that GOG might lose out amidst all this fragmentation. The devs will definitely release on Steam eventually, no matter what they say, but I hope GOG will still be getting ours.

Agreed. I'll buy once it's on GOG though likely I'll wait for a reduced price. These days I have so many game libraries I have to use a spreadsheet to keep track. GOG is the first I've found which will provide users with a free copy of a game if we link our Steam account, one of the many reasons I've been focusing most of my purchasing on GOG.
Hmmm i'd love to play the sequel... I might have to find my old saves... assuming you can use it to give you an equipment/money boost...

I doubt it becuase the new one is small pilot in 3D space. No capital ships.
If you look at the Q&A on the rebel galaxy website it gives their position in more detail.

It will probably appear around a year after launch.

On the upside this gives more time for some mods to be made.
