Got some soft spot for Etrian Odyssey style, one of the better Wizardry-like game of XXI century.

seems like they do indeed were inspired by Darkest Dungeon, to the point where they took all good and bad parts from DD, especially grindfest which was so bad it make the game near unbearable for anyone except total fanboys playing hundreds of hours.
Or just skip the chores with CheatEngine.

I was planning to import the switch physical via playasia. May have to reconsider now.

The game looks very interesting. But it seems to rate very poorly on steam. Anyone knows why?

Launch was kind of rough, with skills not being optimized well.

Glancing at reviews over there, I'm seeing stuff like "RNG", "grindy", "poorly balanced". Read through some, yourself.

I can confirm that "good" is meaningless and subjective description, but never mind me.

After having played some games on GOG - with very bad rating on steam - which I found great, I'm starting to mistrust steam reviews more and more.

There seems to be a gradient towards "better with patches" in those reviews though. Apparently it started out extremely rough and got a surprising amount of support for the better. Still not sure myself if I want to take a dive though.
