Anothername: I fully agree with you and MarkoH01. I just don't expect gog to give a f about the non galaxy version besides the bare minimum and am too tired to get upset about it.
Let's see what they will say, hoping for positive news...

russellskanne: Ah, same shit different day...

I advise you make a dedicated thread about this. At least I think it helped with Spec Ops The Line, which had a similar issue some time ago.
I decided to contact them, I'll post here their reply once I get one, but will follow your example should I get somewhat ignored.

What irks me the most is that now this makes me worry/urge to test most of my games in my library, in order to find out if there are other similar cases, sigh.

eiii: Judging from that video for me the graphic changes are a mixed bag. Higher resolution and sharper textures are a good improvement. But much more blurring, over the top effects and unnatural lighting makes it worse than the original.
If you don't like modern lighting effects and AA solutions then you probably shouldn't by any remaster, really. Of course they are gonna use those things.

They never said they disliked the end product, they simply criticized that some of them were implemented lazily/excessively (personally I liked the new lighting, but disliked the blurring).
After mulling it over for a few days, even though I've owned the "base game" for ages, but have never played it (like most of my library lol); I decided it would be worth $14 to have this upgraded version. Bought.

Maybe someday I'll even play it :)

It's not "lazy" to use TAA, pretty much every modern game uses it due to new lighting technologies. I don't really like it either, but it is what it is.

Does this remaster have all the DLC of the original game included?
Never got into these games.

Almost, but not quite. The Bloodsucker Pack, the Unlockable Pack and the Valve Clothing Pack are missing.

No reason to buy the remaster, then.

GOG support finally replied to my ticket:

"Hello Kyousuke,

Thank you for your message.

We are aware of the issue and we are investigating the problem internally. However, I can't promise an ETA when this might get fixed.

In case you miss a sale for the game because of this, please contact us and we will provide you with a discount code.

I apologize for any inconvenience caused."

At least they aknowledged the issue, hopefully they will fix it.
