Things are getting a little hairy now.

Shantae: Half-Genie Hero Ultimate Edition is now available DRM-free on GOG.com, 10% off until May 15th, 12pm UTC.
Someone in Sequin Land is up to no good and Shantae just won't have it! Instead, she will hair-flick and belly-dance her way through all sorts of loopy levels, changing shapes as she goes. But will her fabulous mane and hypnotic moves be enough to defeat the sassy Risky Boots?

The Ultimate Edition includes the Pirate Queen's Quest, Friends to the End, and Costume Pack DLC.

I'll decide this weekend if I'll be getting this now or waiting until later since I won't be able to play until then anyway.

Too bad some publishers are all too happy to let Steam have the first bite at the apple, and only give GOG a chance after steam got its fill.

Its better than not releasing on GOG at all, but still its a shame.
Yeah, aaand where are the achievements?

I was a backer. Shame that for us the game came Steam only. I wish I could get it here via connect...

Why didn't GOG publish this as a new game? It's not listed under 'new releases', it didn't get a 'featured' titlecard, and it doesn't show up under the "Latest from gog.com" section on Google.

I really think it's going to fall below the radar for a lot of people....

I was getting this as a Switch game since I must've missed some memo that this would ever show up here after waiting up til this point. Hmm this requires more thinking... or more money to throw...

How can I launch the game in DX11 mode? Steam users can choose 32 bit DX9 and 64 bit DX11 at launch, and all I have here is one ".exe" file that runs the game in "D3D9E" mode (according to RTSS).

I really really need DX11 to make some mods I planned to do. In the "executable" folder there's just "fmod_event.dll", "fmodex.dll", and "ShantaeHero.exe".

I'm so excited for this! As a silly question though... Is this all of the Shantae games redone in HD or a new one in the series? I tried looking it up but I haven't found a straight answer or I didn't understand the answers (lol).

As far as I know it was released "in development" or with planed DLCs to be published in in the future (aka season pass... kind of).

GOG seems to have been waiting for the game to be completed (it now is...) before releasing it. Better this way than waiting for the game "to grow to completion".

This is the newest Shantae with what appears to be all the previous DLC and modes. The only game missing here now is the old Gameboy Color game.

Thank you! Cause I was planning on (eventually) buying all the Shantae games on GOG and just play them all over the summer.
