yay finally get to shoot some high def nazis in the balls :)
Is there any news about supposedly getting a discount through GOG connect if you own the original release of V2 on Steam?
Not that I'm aware of.
The only confirmation I came across was that, for some stupid reason, the GoG release does not include the original version.

Vote here to let Rebellion know you want the original version of Sniper Elite V2 included.

www.gog.com/wishlist/games/sniper_elite_v2_original_version

Also Rebellion please add A Server Browser List.

If I remember Sniper Elite has one last time I played it on Steam like in 2011 or something.

GOG.com: Sniper Elite V2 Remastered is now available for pre-order, [...]
...and can be downloaded and played instantly! It's a strange new kind of pre-order.
So what's the go with some people apparently getting the previous owner discounts through GOG Connect - is this a thing or not? Can a Blue confirm please?

What do you mean? Presumably, if you own the original version on STEAM, you should be able to get a discount code on GOG?

This is exactly what I mean - but it isn't being picked up by GOG Connect.
Since there only seems to be a handful of people it's working for - plus I don't recall it being said anywhere officially...

Have an open ticket on the issue - still waiting for GOG support to get back to me as to why Connect isn't picking it up - and yes there's nothing wrong with my GOG or Steam privacy settings.

I searched around with Google and I was just editing my post when you responded. Thank you for that. I have an unredeemed key from Humble Monthly, so it appears that this also interest me.
From where that hype about a GOG Connect discount comes from ?
Also, I heard the remastered version is censored (no Svastikas on the Nazi flags, only the iron cross), which is a shame if it's true !

Would love to pick this up, but I am still waiting for a reply and confirmation on how to activate the discount for already owning the original on steam.
Add me to the pile of people interested in a) having GOG connect pick up the steam version, b) being able to buy the V2 Remastered upgrade on GOG.

For now I'll hold off buying the upgrade on Steam.
