In a bit of a sickle.

The Mystery of the Druids is now available, DRM-free on GOG.com, with a 50% discount until March 19, 11pm UTC.
A string of murders more gruesome than a druid's toothy scream has Scotland Yard baffled. Could they be the work of a nefarious order, bent on world destruction? Point and click through dozens of locations, set both in the distant past and in present time, solve head-scratching puzzles and end the ritual before it begins.
Well there was over 180 votes for this. :) so
Celeste has 420 votes right now. I don't think there's no connection of a game having a high number of votes and a game coming to GOG. On two occasions I have even seen games come to GOG that had only one single vote.

Catoblepas: Wow, they really picked some...ah...interesting screenshots to showcase the game, didn't they?
You're more than welcome. :D

Is this game so bad that it is good, or so good that it is bad?

Yes.

Ghildrean: You really, REALLY wanted to put that cover everywhere, right GOG team?
YES.

:D

triock: Hmm, not bad, but would rather see Aura: Fate of the Ages. :p
This! Man what a great game...
InstaBought.

I really want more games with such graphics.

It's a factor/consideration, especially for older games, that has been confirmed (though I don't have a source on me), but certainly not the only one.

seppelfred: Instabuy for me. The game is not perfect, but I like it. Martin Ganteföhr writes good adventure stories. We have two other games from him here on GOG: "The Moment of Silence" and "Overclocked". His next work will be "State of Mind" published by Daedalic.

tomimt: I thought the writing was pretty terrible in all those games. They tried much but failed in the end.
I thought that the writing of The Moment of Silence was more or less OK, not bad but not great, either - at least in the German version. I heard the English version must have been a lot worse.
The problem is that the plot itself had huge plot holes, if you thought about it more thoroughly. Especially the actions of the antagonist didn't make any real sense

Graphics were pretty good for a adventure game of that era; voice acting (in the German version) was also good.

Controls and puzzles (especially the ending puzzle) were pretty bad, though.
In this case, even The Mystery of Druids was slightly better.

2001, the year of the druids

hmmm
I've never played the game, I've never even been all that interested to be honest, but that cover and the entertaining awfulness it contains is infamous; I must have it. Whoever picked the screenshots has absolutely captured the essence of this abomination, you deserve a pay rise!
I'll buy 2 copies of this, but there are 2 conditions:

1. Make RetrogradeTom do the release stream,
2. The wallpaper is actually that atrocious box art.

You'll have to ask Outstar about point 1 since she is in charge of the GOG Stream team :)

And as for point number 2, the wallpaper is from the cover, screaming druid dude and all.

JudasIscariot: We're still looking for more places where we can legit put that cover >.>
I wonder how many members of GOG staff would be willing to make it their avatar for a while.
