Fight for the future of Japan in Tokyo Clanpool – now available on GOG!

Tokyo Clanpool is a dungeon RPG where you’ll take your party of heroines deeper and deeper into the tower to counter the monster threat and learn the truth of its origin. Equip Digiskins to customize characters’ skills and abilities while navigating mazelike corridors in first-person perspective. Turn-based combat is fast and strategic, and with your team’s ether-based powers, you can even float or dig tunnels to alter the structure of dungeons.

Check it out!
F... those decision makers on GOG. It seems they really want to lose me.

tremere110: They offer an unrated patch but Gog refuses? I gotta wonder what Gog is thinking sometimes. It's not like the girls are actually naked or anything. It's just risque at worst.
GOG is NOT thinking anymore at all. They try to attract new customers with nonsense like tthe PR preservation joke and the dreamlist which is mostly the community list in nice .... and at the same time they alienate a customer base they wanted to attract before. GOG simply has lost all reasonable thinking. I don't know if something changed in the management but with such decisions they will lose the rest of their loyal customer base ... and imo completely deserved.

I half-agree however I think I do see some signs of improvement. F.e. I prefer them showing off preservation program or dreamlist (even if with no real change) compared to yet another 'we support current thing' stuff they did in the past. F.e. they didn't announce women's day sale here nor on twitter (finally), because they know they'd have people like me rightfully indicting them "where was men's day sale on Novermber 19th". They do have generic female protagonist sale rn with no announcement which is innocent enough I'd say.

IndustryRefugee: It needs to be emphasized that this is not an adult game, this is a Vita game that was sold via general stores in Japan. If they host H-games, they should have absolutely zero issues hosting this.
GOG is outright discriminating anime fans and anime games with this decision.

No different then Steam I bet in this case where it depends on who sees the game and the patchs as that seems to be how things go in terms of allowing the games and patchs.. anymore

I absolutely don't care if Steam is as bad as GOG or better. They are worse when it comes to DRM and they are as bad when it comes to censoring. It does not change the fact that this is unacceptable, short sighted and in the case of this game even completely unreasonable. I am 54 years and I don't need a stupid platform to protect me from a videogame! If platforms don't stop with this behaviour it's the best advertisement for pirating. No censoring at all. Iirc GOGs original pitch was to make the product so good that people WANT to pay for it instead of pirating. Well GOG ... you failed 100% in this case. The devs offered you the opportunity to make their product more attractive and you refused it. That is the way to go out of business in the long run and I cannot say that it would surprise me anymore.

Wasn't saying Steam is better nor anything like that as I don't like Steam for varies reasons ,while I am all for DRM-free platforms..i just was trying to say that its likely the same case of''depends who sees the game or in this case uncensor patch when it comes to ''anime style games'' as game platforms and even streaming platforms that dabble in gaming no matter which ones have more and more been against ''anime style games'' even streaming platforms that legit focus on anime like say Crunchyroll has been found to censor and not like ''anime style games'' when they dabbled in the game side of things ..

Which each case its brought up to the devs and studio's its often said by them ''it depends on who sees the game/patch if it gets aproved'' or some more corpo excuse

I'm gonna hope gog reconsiders the issue
The lack of transparency in the video game industry is what I hate the most. I would love to see a statement by the people in charge of GOG explaining why they are rejecting the 18+ patch for this game when it's not even considering hentai Vs all of the hentai shit they allow on a weekly bases.

GOG and communication ... that was a good one. In all those years I am here they never learned how to talk to their customers and be transparent. SIlent treatment -. that's what GOG stands for. Everything is top secret for some reason and if they start to lose customers (which already happened) because of their stupid policys they are actually still wondering how this could even happen. Absolutely ridiculous.

GOGs unofficial mascot is actually a anime character... but people can be sure with the exception of a bit of the legs, arms and the face, nothing is naked there.

What is worrying me the most is rather that there is no single comment from GOG and that they do NOT put a note on the game site related to the censorship and if someone is trying to refund the game because of censorship, it will get denied.

No nudity in Tokyo Clanpool as well afaik - which makes this whole censoring even more ridiculous. (Imo censoring nudity in such games at all is laughable since we are talking about fictional drawings - but that's just me).

Pretty sure that they would refund if you would complain about censoring you weren't aware when buying the game because of a missing warning thereof. I am even sure that you would have legal standing in such case since the game is not advertized as being incomplete.

Oh and the belly is naked too... She is not the most innocent girl, rather a teen which is trying to appear "sexy". However, not a unusual appearance in any big city or "on the beach",

I did NOT buy the game, because i was suspicious of censorship from the beginning and realized the censorship almost instantly. So, nope... i did not buy it. It was the experience of another user and it seems legit.

Eastasiasoft reaffirms that GOG rejected the patch. Again, the same store that has unrated/uncensored patches for explicit loli content now won't allow a Vita game uncensored. This is clear evidence of a shift in policy. That GOG refuses to disclose because they know they'll get shit for it, so they just keep it classified and let the unwitting publishers take the brunt of it.
