So yesterday there was a rumor that THQ Nordic is looking into a deal to publish all of MicroSoft video games for PC.

Now we all know THQ Nordic is distributing the physical boxed PC versions of the video games that MicroSoft publishes, like Quantum Break, ReCore, Super Lucky Tales, etc.

This news of this rumor comes as THQ Nordics rich CEO wants to have all of MicroSofts video games in the future, possibly by 2020? To be able to distribute them for PC, even work out with MicroSoft to release video games released exclusively for sale on the Xbox, Xbox 360, and Xbox One for sale for PC. The other talk of the deal is that THQ Nordics CEO does not like exclusive video games at all and wants to get them all not just on Xbox and on PC on the Windows Store, but also to be released for sale on gog.com and on Steam, and maybe other digital retailer online stores selling video games. The CEO of THQ Nordic believe he as a good business relationship with MicroSoft.

Not sure how much of this rumor I believe, but there was one comment I saw on resetera.com where a resetera.com member said the old THQ before Nordic Games purchased THQ, that THQ was gonna do some of this back in the day before they went bankrupt. Or something like that.

What would you do if THQ Nordic got a yes from MicroSoft to release Gears of War + Gears of War Ultimate Edition, Gears of War 4, Gears 5, Age of Empires + Age of Empires Definitive Edition, Age of Empires II + Age of Empires II HD + Age of Empires II Definitive Edition, Forza Motorsport 7, etc for sale on gog.com?

Where is this news coming from? I've seen no such rumors. It's an interesting story but you really should be posting a link to some kind of source for this otherwise it's not a rumor... it's just you saying it.

While anything coming from Resetera is certainly worth taking with a lake of salt, I don't see why the OP needs to low-rated?

It's M$, they are incapable of thinking outside their own products. You won't see any of their games here, ever. Even if Games for Windows Dead 2 dies a slow horrible death, they would just create a new one.

EDIT: found it. Yeah, that's not a trustworthy website, but this deal still might be a possibility as THQ has worked with Microsoft in the past.

While I would love to see the Age of Empires series here, I just don't see it happening. Microsoft is trying to establish the Windows Store with exclusive releases (included the most recent AoE), so what the rumor says would go against their current strategy.

Yeah, I'd love to believe it but MS currently seems hellbent on making everything Windows Store-exclusive. We'll see, I guess.
