I like this GOG Galaxy program for its conveniences (similar to Steam), but I want to move to Linux. Have any of you found a way to run this app on Linux?
This question / problem has been solved by VanishedOneimage
It'll run under a recent enough version of Wine (which, depending on your distro, might mean a more recent one than you get from the repositories). As far as I know the overlay still needs to be disabled. I'm not sure about the state of integrations or multiplayer.

I've occasionally found it a bit easier to get certain games to run properly if not launched through the client (they can usually still access Galaxy's backend services if it's running, or at least installed).
It will run but performance will be hit and miss.

If you want to use a client style program there are other options that run natively in Linux that have some GOG integration such as Lutris, Gamehub, and MiniGalaxy. They don't handle multi player but they will allow you to download the offline installers, handle installation (and even use custom WINE or Proton installers) and the GUI aids in selecting custom launch options.
Well, there's various alternatives that work akin to Galaxy. Personally, I ignore it entirely and use Lutris.
Thanks for all the replies. I found there is one of the community wishlist items asking GOG to make a Linux version, and the company apparently marked it as "in progress" -- so hopefully we will get a Linux version of GOG soon.

Just on the off chance this isn't sarcasm: don't get your hopes up. It's been marked as 'in progress' for the first version of Galaxy for ages. Then they built 2.0 from scratch and still didn't bother with cross platform. It's not going to happen.

Yes, "Soon™".
*rubs hands together violently*
But no. They removed Windows 7 support.

So they've had a lot of time to do other things that might be higher priority first, and to get started on it. Seems like it's all the more reason to think it will come soon.. :D
