As question states. Steam is currently having a sale on the game so not sure why GOG doesn't have a similar offer..

Yes, my groceries store near me doesn't have a similar offer. This is a very good question I would very much like an answer. :)
Not all sales on Steam happen concurrently on GOG. For example, the King's Bounty series has been on sale for 2 days on Steam and it ain't on GOG. Unless I'm missing something, why would we expect both to have the exact same sales at the same time?
It's a good question. Expeditions Vikings has been on my wishlist for about half a year now, but was missing out on all of the sales in that timeframe. Well, at least not with a price I find to be affordable.
The short answer, is that GOG has different agreements with the game publishers than Steam, since it's owned by different people, and run in a different way.
Even among Steam resellers, different websites have different sales at different times.
Maybe because GOG is not Steam? Thought about that?
In defense of the OP, it seems every year stores all seem to have sales the day after Thanksgiving. I have NO CLUE why; just some weird coincidence I guess.

Well considering I got Thimbleweed Park on sale at GOG after I saw the Steam sale. I'm just curious about the sale price as well on GOG..been in my wishlist for a while now..

Thanks Sherlock. Maybe if you use a little critical thinking, you wouldn't be commenting so stupidly. Logic Artists isn't a very big gaming developer. The fact that Steam had the 50% sale, it was likely approved by Logic Artists or Logic Artists themselves requesting for it so as to push through sales. Which brings me to question why the second biggest game re-seller after Steam doesn't get a similar offer.

I am sure the game will be on sale here one day when it is not on Steam.

Of course, some items are on sale simultaneously on both Steam and GOG. But you will notice that this is not the norm.
