giatz: thank you but unfortunately for me that video is too complicated. Isn't there a patch for SWOS compatible with the version of the game downloaded here from GOG, which allows you to play single player with the joystick? I also saw joy2key, but I understood that it is a software that provides a trial period, after which it becomes paid.
Did you press CTRL + F1 during gameplay?
It will open the DOSBox Keymapper, you can then bind any Keyboard Key to any Gamepad Button.
You just select a key and bind to a button, that's all (don't forget to "Add" each binding and save before exiting).
If I remember correctly, Sensible Soccer just use 1 key for kicking and 4 arrow keys. So you select the key for kicking (I don't remember if it's "space" or "ctrl"), , select "Add" and then press any gamepad button. Repeat the process with each 4 arrow keys with its corresponding directional button in your gamepad. After finished, save your configuration and it's done.
