HI there,
I'm very sad and also furious how cdpr handled the cp2077 release. Their reputation is in ashes and they deserve the backlash. I feel sorry for the devs that crunched so hard. But now I've reached a point that I question myself if it's worth to stay on gog. Or should I just delete my account and take the loss of my library as a final gift. I already decided that I won't be buying games here anymore. But maybe I'm unreasonable idk I just feel betrayed by my best friend.

Eh, just log out and keep your bought games. Come back if you feel like it or don't, don't punish yourself by deleting your account/access to your bought games.
People bought Bethesda games with terrible states to them, they might get better but hard to say.

As for CDPR, looks like the console versions really took a hit. Though half of it looks like textures not loading quickly. So having smaller textures i bet would have helped a lot on those regards.

Though the rest of it, it really really wasn't ready and likely needed 3-6 more months. And it probably will continue to need it. The PC version apparently isn't that bad.

There's a reason i suggest and refuse to buy a game at launch, or preorder, or any of that. Also I've only bought two games over $20, and honestly it's better i stick with the same ideal of not buying anything until the price goes under the $20, regardless where or what it is.
You've already paid for those games and they are yours. I am choosing to not give them any more money. If you delete your account now, you're only hurting yourself and the funds you have already given them.

I agree. Don't delete your account. Keep your games, download as appropriate, and if you choose like others not to give further funds then that's your choice.

Vote with your wallet. :P

I agree with the others. Download the offline installers and copy them to a backup drive or two. If you ever want to come back, your account is still there. If not, the games you previously bought in the past are yours for life (or however long you choose to keep them backed up) without ever needing to visit the store / use the client.
Darling, you got to let me know
go where?
what's the point of abandoning your account? it will be just your loss
not buying anything is fine , just do that , no need to give up your acc

Keep the games, stop buying more. I did four years ago. I'm constantly given reminders that I made the right decision.

You should definitely go.
No, scratch that, of course you stay.
Who am I kidding? GO! Why are you still here? There is no other way.
Or is there???

GOG is not CDPR, CDPR is not GOG.

Also neither of them were ever your best friend. Feelings of betrayal are misplaced because none of them ever had any loyalty to you.
I'm not defending CDP, CDPR or GOG. They definitely messed this all up, but I don't really see anything boycott-worthy in the Cyberpunk release. The management made the stupid decision to rush it out in time for Christmas even when the game just wasn't anywhere near ready. There's no betrayal here though, just get a refund. Then you can either wait for patches and buy it if they manage to fix it, or safely ignore the game forever.
"If I go there will be trouble..."
First off, consider that CD Projekt Red and GOG are two different business entities. The former is a game developer who has developed and produced The Witcher series and Cyberpunk 2077. The latter is a digital distribution platform which simply sells a large variety of games from numerous developers and publishers. While they both report to the same parent corporation, GOG really has nothing to do with Cyberpunk aside from being one of several distributors for the game. If you really want to "punish those responsible" for Cyberpunk then avoid purchasing any further games from CD Projekt Red. But completely boycotting GOG is basically "shooting the messenger". GOG didn't make Cyberpunk. They're just one of many storefronts who are selling it.

Second consideration: why in the world would you close your account over a single bad game? Closing your account serves absolutely no purpose other than locking you out from any further downloads and/or updates to the games that you have legitimately purchased. GOG doesn't care one whit whether you close your account. In fact, they'd probably be slightly grateful, because you would be one less person downloading files from their servers and submitting support requests to their overburdened staff.

You'd really be channeling your fervor against the wrong group of people by boycotting GOG instead of CD Projekt Red.
I'm not buying from them until them sort themselves out. After 2077 and now the Devotion delisting thing, GOG's lost all credibility to me. Glitchy game AND censorship? Sign me out lmao
If you stay, there may be double.
