Lately I´ve been having an itch for playing a civilization game. But I´m forcing myself not to start playing Civ IV again because I want to play other games (I spend too many hours in this game when I start playing it again and I want to play something different). And I was wondering why isn´t Civ V on Gog already. The game is nearly 10 years old and there is a sixth one available. Civ 4 is old and since the sixth one is getting all the dlc´s and all that, shouldn´t be now a good time for Firaxis and 2K to get money from Gog´s users?

Gog is getting games from Firaxis and 2k (like XCOM 2), why don´t they bring Civ 5 as well? I mean, it´s not as if they didn´t care about Gog; like Ubisoft, Activision and EA.

I agree, I would prefer Old World before Civ 5. Although Civ 5 would be awesome too.

I´n not much into mods. Although I will eventually give it a try, thank you. Does it add the option to plant trees? I hate it when the AI of my rivals start chopping forests like there is no tomorrow. They always do it to increase their production, and there´s no way to recover them if there is no one single forest tile in the continent. And the forest preserve´s influence on adjacent tiles makes the forest growth pace annoyingly slow. The more the better, of course.

Yes, you unlock planting trees with Guilds, and then further variety of trees with one of the early ecological techs. I should note that I'm using the SVN version rather than the one over on wherever they host mainline versions.
