I've been here since the beginning. My nickname used to be just "Gambler". Couple years ago it arbitrarily became "Gambler.224". Not sure why.

When I'm just playing games, it doesn't really matter. But it's pretty grating to see the mangled name when using "social" features.

If it's fixable, I would appreciate it being fixed.

When gog combined authentication with CD projekt red, accounts with the same name at both sites were automatically changed.

Well, that makes some sense in general, but I'm still not sure why my account in particular was renamed. The current account named "Gambler" was registered several years after mine and seems to be inactive. The fact that they didn't even register on this website, were automatically migrated and still got the priority is rather strange.

that sucks. and it was 0.001 away from being a cool change. you couldve been Gambler.223 and repped for AR-15s.
Who knows :P . But you can always contact support and they can change your name if you explain your situation to them :)

This. Just contact support. I did a name change, used it for 6 months, didn't like it, went back. They're usually on point with it, but you'll probably have to wait till regular office hours.

It is highly likely because there is another user with that name. Happened to me before. As they say above, contact support.

Well, that took you quite a while to complain.

Let me guess: you didn't want to get lost among all the other users, who were complaining, back when the "number-adding" happened? ;)
Welcome Back. :D

I got you a new avatar.

Read in the news recently that Kenny Rogers is in bad health on the verge of death.

Well no shit, he's over 100 years old!

The other day I was hanging out with Dolly Parton. I said, "Dolly, you know Kenny. How old is Kenny Rogers?"

She said, "Just between you and me, Kenny Rogers is 187 years old!"

Sadly, it would seem staff hardly ever check their forum replies.
