You need to go find a copy/stream it from Netflix or something, then. Darkman is a good flick.
I enjoyed the hell out of Deadpool, don't get me wrong (hell, I bought it on release day on Blu-ray as well), but I agree with much of what Breja states here: Yeah, the action was good, and there were some really well choreographed sequences, but nothing new or earthshaking. And the 'ugly'? C'mon, when he was walking around in that hoodie, he looked like Ted Danson, for Pete's sake. Not nearly scarreed up and ugly enough for all that drama.
Really, the only thing that was groundbreaking was the fact that Marvel/Disney decided to go with some nudity and a bunch of F-bombs. And I guess the violence was more graphic than average for them.
Still, I got a helluva kick out of the movie. Good fun.

Ricky_Bobby: I saw the movie this weekend, it was actually much better than I anticipated, I think Ryan Reynolds was absolutely perfect for the role.
They did the right thing by focusing on Deadpool's character development, rather than the antagonists (which were quite bland). Most of these superhero movies don't spend enough time developing their protagonists, focusing instead on the spectacle and the antagonists.
ya dude look at the avengers for petes sake hardly any character development at all.
