Given how Focus have started releasing their more recent titles here, it will probably make its way here in a year at most.

We may not have it on day 1, but on the other hand it will be actually fully playable with the major bugs and complaints from the players already addressed and at a reasonable discount.
Win-win imho - but just to show my support I'd buy it full-price/beta (er… day 1) state as well here :)
I really really hope this game gets released here, even if it takes a few months. Looks like just the thing to scratch that old-style BioWare itch.

In which sense "Bioware itch"?
I honestly (please don kill me!) never liked the Bioware formula, so Greedfall being akind to a Bioware game kinda hurts my interest in it.
Since Bound by Flame appeared, I think we will eventually get most of their games. But they are of course not going to release them all at once. They probably have some time-plan, where they will release one game per month/some other period to give the games their time in the spotlight and maximize sales.

I'd bet we'll get at least one more release (if not more) from Spiders before this year ends.
Looks like a good RPG, better in scope and style than their previous ones. I'm currently obsessed with Hitman 2 so I'll wait a while to see if it comes to GOG, but probably buy it either way next month.

I mean that it looks closer to a 'traditional' Bioware game than anything else I've seen in the past few years, in several aspects:

- 3rd-person, party-based RPG
- Real-time gameplay with tactical pause
- Strong focus on narrative and characters
- Story-based rather than sandbox
- 'Hub' structure rather than open-world
- Companion romances

However, I haven't yet played it myself and haven't seen more than a few minutes of gameplay. I've seen lots of people compare it to Bioware games like Dragon Age, but also to The Witcher 3.
low rated
Hub, romance, RTWP. Ok, my interest is gone! :P
I still hope they bring Styx and A Plague Tale though. And all the others, this one included, really - the more, the merrier.
I was watching cohncarnage's stream on twitch (he's a gog ?partner?) and when he was tabbed out of the game it looked like he was playing Greedfall from the GoG galaxy 2 client. I thought, "Greedfall's on GoG?! I don't remember seeing an announcement." So I went to the website to check but didn't see it. Now I'm just confused what that means. Coming soon? Steam exclusivity period? Spider releasing on Gog releasing after initial hype?

Anyone know...?

It probably just means that Galaxy 2 is a multi-service client and can start Steam games.

As Geralt noted, you can launch games tied to other clients through Galaxy 2.
If they were making it exclusive then they should have put it on Epicstore.

That's right. I even have 2.0 installed and I forgot that. -_-

It probably means that after the game receives all it's updates, and it's been thoroughly beta tested on STEAM, we'll get a collector's edition here on GOG. I really prefer this way of doing things, than having the developer flooded with negative comments, because they're unable to maintain update parity on all platforms.
So played this for a while (just up to first boss), and finished bound by fire before. It is an improvement over bound, however a fair few issues remain. First, and probably the worst part is the UI, want to fire your gun, you can’t switch to ranged, you have to pause and select it to fire once, in fact the whole UI is a real pain. There are various oddities, have to stop completely to use potion, try to run to side and jump back, camera feels like it clips the ground creating judder etc. Lip syncing is laughable, quests are ok, but basically choose a side. Combat is ok, a dodge to side would be useful. Skill sets are nothing more than +xx damage in your chosen field, so the role play part of it is again pretty limited, although slightly more deep than bound.

Your are forced to take companions as well, I don’t know when this became a thing, but it is really annoying, Npcs are always bland, annoying, and get in the way. Option to play solo should always be present. It really is nothing like DA: Origins which some tout. Yes, maybe something like Inquisition (but then that was a very average single player mmo).

Overall it’s got potential and is better than bound, but still no more than 2.5 or 3 out of 5. Maybe it will get better as more areas open. Needs a fair bit patched really, would rather play risen 2 or 3 which I quite like this, with the theme as well.

***update:
After some more hours in I increase my rating a bit. Turn off vsync if you get the juddering. Companions are a real pain throughout. Control is still a bit janky. There is however a lot of content, quite open world feeling and lots to see. 3.5 stars possibly up to 4 depending on story progression. Well worth getting on gog, so vote here:

I wish this be on GOG, seems having "Gothic" vibe, and that for me means purchase 100%. Although I don´t have hurry to try either, Im playing Grim Dawn and this is the game Diablo 3 should be.

But it would be nice if in 2019 Greedfall would be available GOG.
