I feel one of the main weaknesses in gog's library is sports/racing games. I would love to get basketball,baseball games,etc here. Especially the classics like old nba games or need for speed games. Anyone agree? There is practically no sports games and that would be a nice boost to gog's library if they can add them.

However you’re not likely to see them due to the professional sports leagues licensing.

Yup. This has been discussed many times before that GOG is lacking in sports and racing games.

The sports games that have pro licenses are all but impossible to get. They won't sell without DRM, they have lawsuits between players, former players and leagues to determine usage and payments and games have been discontinued (This is why EA no longer makes NCAA football or basketball games).

However, GOG still has plenty of options. They should be going after Super Mega Baseball and the upcoming sequel Super Mega Baseball 2. They should be trying to add the awesome Fire Pro Wrestling games here, especially the soon-to-be-released Fire Pro Wrestling World.
