Square enix are holding an official Final Fantasy questionnaire. http://questant.jp/q/8EI8SQ0E
I told 'em to finally release the games on GOG, might be worth a shot :D

I have a feeling I tried that before, and maybe even with Squeenix, or is it SEGA?

Nothing ever comes out of it, of course.
I filled it out as you never know the reaction if you don't try. I did specifically say in the comments that I would be skipping Final Fantasy VII Rebrith since no DRM free version will be available and they should support DRM free stores like GOG.

I believe I did something like this for Capcom and a while later Resident Evil was here. (Even though GOG had been trying for years to get those of course, I believe it was me that gave Capcom the final push :D)
I filled it our, mentioning my no-DRM policy and that I'd like to be able to buy the older games.

(Worth noting that I'm mainly interested in the earlier games, as I don't like the direction the series took with FF6 and FF7.)

(I think I'm about to replay FF3, actually.)

I filled it out. I told them to put every game on GOG and make more FF6 merchandise.
Thanks for mentioning this. I also asked to bring the games in the series to GOG.com in a DRM-free format.
