Those horrible 3d graphics. They should of stuck with 2d backgrounds and sprites, SH/SHC HD look better than this game.
Interesting. Does this mean that there's going to be a DRM-free reissue of the physical version? Or is that "signed physical version" simply the original Steam version?
Interesting to see how Firefly changed their stance for drm-free release on gog. A year ago they were saying they won't release Stronghold Crusader 2 here cause were all pirates here :)
A new game on GOG is always a good news! That was fast of you, blotunga!

Am I the only one who thinks odd that, in order to enter the Crusader 2 GOG tournament you need to friend Firefly Studios on Steam? It does not seem to be a slip of the mind.

Indeed. Also you need to own it on Steam, which is even weirder... As I don't own it yet, I don't care, but I might get it here at some point.
Methinks I will avoid this like the plague, late to the party, friending on steam, galaxy online features, I imagine it will be around £30 etc.

I can't blame them, indeed we're full of pirates:

Pirates!
Windward
Risen 2
Tales of Monkey Island
Secret of Monkey Island
Monkey Island 2
Guild 2: Pirates of the European Seas
Space Pirates and Zombies
Pirates Cove
Pixel Piracy
All Firefly Studios games released on GoG?

From what I remember, Firefly Studios hasn't really made all that many games. And Stronghold, Stronghold Crusader and Space Colony are all already on GoG.

I know they released Stronghold 2, Stronghold Legends and Stronghold 3, but those games were generally regarded as inferior to the ones mentioned above. Why would they hold a contest to have those games on GoG when they've already got their better games on GoG right now? It's not really that much of an incentive.

I mean, I enjoyed those games because I'm an inexplicable and hopeless fan of that genre, but to have to enter and win at least second place in a contest just to get the privilege of owning it on GoG? Ehh....

Why not just release the games on GoG normally and not have them be a part of a contest? I don't get the logic here.

Or am I reading these prizes all wrong?

You mean, because GOG is promoting Firefly Studios, which is promoting Steam as a promotion for one game on GOG? No, I don't get your point.
