Many of you know not only old PC Games, but old console games as well. Games for the Snes, NES, Gameboy, Sega Megadrive etc.

So many of this games are available illegaly on the internet called Roms and can be played with Emulators. Very few people go to the actual trouble to buy adapters and such to make their own roms of their console cartridges they bought 10-20 years ago. Many Classic Games which are probably better than some of the PC Games offered on GoG are among them. Real gems. The current Rightholders like Nintendo, Sony and Sega do not offer those games as well. I know there are some rereleases but the bulk of it isn't offered at all and probably never will.

So this is a big business possibility for GoG to add console game roms to their portfolio. They just have to ask the Rightholders (Nintendo, Sony, Sega etc.) and ask them if they would at least for starters allow them to sell the roms of some of their oldest consoles (like Gameboy or Sega Megadrive), and if they can earn money with this they would probably allow GoG to increase the portfolio to Snes games PlayStation 1 and 2 in the future.

As it is now those Rightholders don't make any money at all with those old games so they should be happy to have a new source of income. GoG would profit as well because there are certainly many among us who would buy classic console games. It would be certainly more popular than the Movies Category at the moment.

So please add your opinions make your voices heard, and lets see perhaps GoG will react to this suggestion
