I just went through issues too where it suddenly wouldnt let me post after my first initial post when I joined.
Had to turn my vpn off b4 it worked, nothing else did, which is weird cause it worked at first and why even restrict that in the first place for posting, vpns are common everyday tools these days.
I get its bad for circumventing region prices ofc but not for this.
Anyways, test complete.

Funny, this post here went through even with vpn bk on.
Just had the past 3 weeks struggling trying to post on a game forum where nothing I did worked at first including turning vpn off at first. Then I left it and tried again today, nothng again worked till i turned vpn completely off, then it worked.
Then I turned it bk on same as always and this post here was put through.
Im new on GOG but have a hard time figuring out how things work here haha.

Geralt_PostDemon: I just remembered I forgot an important test. German umlauts: ä ö ü Ä Ö Ü ß

MarkoH01: It's called "Umlaute" ;)
Only in German speaking countries. :-)

But the english word for Umlaut is umlaut and its correct plural is indeed umlauts. See here.

Simply decapitalizing a pure German word is not an actual translation - it's typical american lazyness ;)
So they take the German word - keep everything as it is and apply their own grammar. For every German this simply sounds terrible. Anyway - I am glad that you include them in your test ... no matter how you call them.

Yeah, VPN and TOR worked just fine on GOG until they started to block TOR on the forum and later on the whole page a few months ago. Now it seems they are going for VPNs.

I know because I also only surf vith TOR or a VPN, except when I log into a webpage. Because when you log in anonymity is gone anyway. I don't use these for doing anything nefarious, I just don't like being tracked.

The VPN I use still works though. It probably depends whether your VPN exit IP has landed on a blacklist or not because of what other people did using it.

*cough* Wer im Glashaus sitzt... *cough* ;-)

Do you have any idea how many English words there are in the German language and how we mangle their plural compared to the English language? ;-)

Simply capitalising an existing English word isn't an actual translation, it's typical German laziness ;) "den Managern", that sounds awful! "チーズケーキ", that sounds ridiculous! C'mon man, that's just what happens with loan words!

If it were Haikus I would post them through my main account and if it were the other two I wouldn't have made it this obvious who the account belongs to. ;-)

Why are you creating multiple accounts, and spamming... AGAIN?

What are you talking about?

I have never spammed anything anywhere in my entire life and this is literally my second account (or in other words, my only alt account) here. GOG is my witness.

Please provide proof if you claim otherwise.

Good to see it works the second way. :-)
