So, as my other new thread got eaten by the GOGbear (probably will pop up in a few hours), I'm starting a new one about the bold move that Scott Cawthon (the developer of the Five Night At Freddy series) made with his latest game.....

"FNAF World" was an RPG based on the charcters of FNAF series. it was recently released on Steam but had numerous bugs due to an self-admitted rushed development. To avoid leaving players with a product with defaults, he simply pulled off the game from the digital shelves, will work on it and re-release it for free....

Even if I'm not fond of FNAF, I must applaud this move in an age where it's too common to deliver faulty or unfinished products and leave them as they are.

Official post from the dev on th FNAF 4 forum:

Hi everyone, I wanted to make a post about the fate of FNaF World. Even though the game had a "Very Positive" rating with 87%, I was not satisfied with the reviews and ratings it was getting.

For that reason, I've decided to remove the game from Steam. I've also asked Valve to make it so that the game can be refunded regardless of the amount of the time it has been owned, meaning that anyone can get a refund at any time. It may take them a while to set that up, but it will be in place soon.

I'm still going to work on FNaF World and polish it up. I'm busy creating a fully 3D overworld for the game. When I'm ready to update the game, I will replace the demo currently on GameJolt with the full game. From this point forward, the game will always be free.

I appreciate your support, and I encourage you all to refund your Steam game (even if you enjoyed the game), and download the new version when it becomes available on GameJolt. :)
Never played any of the games, but I'm pretty impressed by this guys' integrity, many other people would just be in for the money by now. Especially considering the kind of fanbase he has.

The very essence of bandwagon mentality. FNAF World was so highly rated by people out of blind loyalty to the franchise. Similarly, people will bash and downvote a game to kingdom come if the mob mentality deems it worthy of such treatment, regardless of whether the game has been patched up after the fact (see X-Rebirth).
