this is a new feature implemented as of last week. it's supposed to entice people to work through their backlogs.

Enticing people to work through their backlogs is a very progressive move not everyone may agree with. People have a right to maintain the integrity of their backlogs. History shows us that sometimes wars have been started for less serious reasons.
