pH7: Um, in case you didn't notice;
that was written in jest =P
My - I don't know what to call it; frustration, despair, concern or whatever - is that these forums seem to be slowly taken over by gamers rather than GOGers. Not that I have anything gamers or forums dedicated to gamers, it's that there's only one natural place for GOGers: Here.
Separating the gifting thread into one for GOG and one for non-GOG wishes doesn't really change much in and of itself, but a distinction is made, and if that sticks - well, maybe that'll make the lines between gaming in general and GOG-related gaming less blurry for individuals in the community. Who knows..

Like my own answer... :p
While I personally did not mind that all requests (GOG or non-GOG) to be made here (my personal philosophy is in the vein of "live and let live"), I understand it was frustrating for others (as in your case).
It's a bit as my stance on the endless debate on DRM: I personally wouldn't touch a DRM'ed game with a 5 ft long pole (and since I haven't internet access at home, for me Steam is a kind of always-online-DRM), but doesn't bother me at all that others don't share my opinion. Actually, when I asked games for my first giveaway (in which you were one of the donors), I made it clear that I accept any digital distributor (preferably GOG, of course).
Hopefully, Licurg' solution has fixed the issue for everyone. ;)

<Warn you all that read this>: I had made up my mind (and as you see I'm succeeding) not asking for anything in this thread as my giveaway was in progress (although I was very tempted with some GOG launchs). But when the prizes' delivery is completed...
... I WILL RETURN! :D
(In fact, I have another idea for a new giveaway that could be beneficial to the community in general and gifters in particular...)
