Huh, you're right, it's gone. Instead I've found a "Searching for me" option that is on by default :-/
I bet it's not hard to abuse this feature to expose e-mail addresses, so no thanks.

it can also be used to *self censoring* as foxworks and I discovered.

As to the days on gog - been gone since the last site overhaul at least (see wpeggs GA from... around christmas I think).
