The combat is very Hellgate-ish. It's more about skill than about items, though items do play a part.

I also like the fact that the game is highly optimized; it looks beautiful and doesn't stress my system out, whereas with WoW if I play it for long periods of time it bogs my system down and I have to do a restart of my OS to clean it up.

There's more that I like about it, but I'm kind of tired and not really eloquent tonight. It's f2p, but if you buy a box copy (Gamestop is selling them for $12 at the moment) you get 8 char slots per server (f2p gets 2) a free mount, and extra bank slots.

Give it a go if you're curious. For me, even though the quests are standard mmo quests, there's something about it that keeps pulling me back. At first I didn't like it at all, then after about 24 hours it's now my go-to mmo for the time being; we'll see if I suffer the usual burnout that I suffer from most mmo's.

lol yes, sachys' GA is technically over, so I am back to my non-explodie, short armed self. I feel much better.
