I was a backer on Kickstarter and I only backed for the story mode. As far as promises go, I seem to remember it was story mode first, survival 2nd.
I lost interest when I saw that story mode was more or less forgotten and I was told off when I complained in one of their backer updates.

Well, considering the fact that you obviously needed six months to catch up with this news...an announcement posted a week earlier wouldn't have changed a thing for you.

My point stands, though - and the fact that it took you two full weeks again, to react, tells me I'm right.

The way I see it, there are two kind of people in the world:

the ones that were around, when the announcement was made (and then bought the game - or not),

and the people like you - who obvously weren't around when the announcement was made (or simply didn't care).

Why don't you tell us, what's the acceptable time frame - from your perspective - to announce the removal of a game, that would reach "all" possible buyers of any given game in time?

Well, no...that's not quite right...GOG could simply place a general PSA on their front page that says something along these lines:

Attention please: any game available on GOG may get pulled from the store at any time for any reason.
To make sure that you don't miss the possibility to buy a game that you want to own, it is highly adviced to purchase that game rather sooner than later.

I decided to necro this thread to point out that this game, despite being delisted, is still receiving updates? I think this is worth praising the company over.

I agree with Treehugger on this. The minimum could be a news post but they can even send an email. I'm subscribed to their newsletter but never get the important announcements and only their crap discounts. GOG doesn't get told a game will disappear the day before it does. They could at least extend us the same courtesy.

It's crap like this that would rather make me buy it on Steam and then not bother if it ever does return to here. Oh wait, I already got it for free from Epic but if I got around to playing it I would have bought it here. Now I don't see why I should if this is the treatment we get.
