I think I've been through (and contributed to) many kinds of discussions that, more or less say that the web and/or gaming golden age is over and there are more and more of them since two or three years ago. "AAA games are not so great anymore" and "good old days" topics are a mainstay, and have some point.
To me, it's because gaming and websurfing then were a new thing and devs were experimenting. Technology was not just improving but making breakthroughs, so if someone said "never seen before", it was real.
Here's the question: what feature /game mechanics, unusual ui, original narrative device, very peculiar graphics, etc.) do you have in mind or have at least once fancied about but, as far as you know, never seen implemented in a game?
