I' ve bought The Settlers III: Ultimate Collection on GOG.com. When I'm trying to run it nothing happens. There is only a process which is taking 50% of my CPU.
I already:
*turn off UAC
*run it as administrator
*run it in compatibility mode (8,7,XP SP3)
*run it in 640x480
Please help me, I really want to play this game :D

Settlers 3 does not list Windows 10 under compatibility on the game card. You really should have checked before you bought it.

Edit:
Mind you, that doesn't mean it can't be made to work somehow (although I wouldn't know what to try besides what you've already done), but it does mean you can't count on it working at all.

Luckily, I have computer on Wndows 7 too. Thank you for quick reply.
I saw that Windows 10 it's not on the list but I thought it's only temporary. :D

Not all games will be made compatible with Windows 10. Even now, there are still some games on GOG that aren't supported by Windows 7 or 8.

You can play the game on Windows 10 too if you rename the winmm.dll (e.g. awinmm.dll). Perhaps Windows 10 ask you now to install DirectPlay. Just do it and start the game after. Now you can play the game on Windows 10 (but without music).

Perhaps this will help GOG to make Settlers 3 running on Windows 10 too (with a music fix).

Well, it might well be. I'm sure GOG is working on making as many titles as possible compatible with Windows 10, but this one isn't yet. Still, Ritualisto posted a fix which may work, albeit without music. Hopefully, GOG will get it working fully at some point.
