For some reason I immediately assumed this was going to have something to do with "the call of the void phenomenon" even though hardly anyone seems to know what that is.
Anyone here ever see the movie "Touching the Void"?

It's a combination of scripted footage mixed with documentary interviews about a horrific mountain climbing expedition. VERY VERY VERY intense stuff. Really screwed me up emotionally.

Edit: got the name wrong, fixed.

Depends on what you mean with "know what that is".

LOL. Yea, I caught that after I posted. I decided to leave it because it more or less works both ways. Then again, its not something that comes up much in conversation, so there are probably more people than I realize who know what it is. Both ways.
A most peculiar game. I have it but not played it yet. There are three (3) parts you must download to the same location. Did you get all three?

We probably need more details. What operating system do you have? Example: Windows 12 Home ed, summer 2033 update, 64bits.

I see it needs DirectX9. Did you download and install that? Later versions of DX do not come with support for DX9. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8109
