To each their own. I quite enjoyed all of the Risen games... and in fact really dug the pirate theme that came about with Dark Waters.

The first one was pretty cool and promising after disastrous Gothic3 and Arcania, even with last chapter (tedious lizard cleansing in dark dungeons).

Second got pretty cool concept, played nice. Third one - eh.

Risen 1 had such a nice, comfy and relaxed setting, shame it fell apart so badly towards the end.
