trusteft: One on going and one temp.

1. If I receive a quoted reply in the forum or answer for a thread I started, I get the purple dot next to Community.
That it doesn't go away even after I check the relevant posts/threads. This was not a thing in the past. Now it seems to stay forever. As you can understand it's annoying.
This is how I fixed it:

Thanks. I haven't tried it. Just found something by accident.

I clicked on the bell icon with the red notification to clear the "wishlist items on sale" thingy. I clicked on clear all and it actually cleared the purple dot too. Time will tell if this works or if it was just a coincidence.

There is a way to trigger a notification manually if you get the purple icons but no new notifications (bell icon).

If you go to your wishlist and click the x next to a game or two to temporarily remove from list w/o refreshing the page and then re-click the greyed out game(s) to keep it on your wishlist.

So far, this has given me a notification (bell icon) the following day. Which ofc allows you the option to use the clear all function.

trusteft: I recently received from GOG an email about how to built a better store feedback, asking me to answer some questions.
I gladly opened it and reached a point where it asked me if I use GALAXY. I said never.
Next question was what are your 3 favourite things about GOG GALAXY.
I did the same survey.
I also answered the "Galaxy" question with "never".
There were no follow up questions about Galaxy.

Next question was what are your 3 favourite things about GOG GALAXY. Which could not be skipped, which did not have an option to at least say again that I do not use it. So I, and everyone else, no matter if we use GALAXY, we have to pick something we like about it. This is at best a poor design choice for a questionnaire, but it also stinks of pushing certain agenda, and that is the use of the GALAXY client.

Shame.
Only two points, but both sum up the current state of GOG really well: Broken and Anti-Consumer.

And you better believe all that Galaxy skewed marketting is pushing an agenda, they want everyone reliant on that stupid client. GOG has made deals with Epic to sell DRM'd EGS games through Galaxy, the number of offline installers that are out of date keeps rising and they blatantly ignore criticism, especially on these forums that they've long since left to rot.

It worked for me too.

EDIT: I spoke too soon. First, the dot actually disappeared, but now for some reason it came back. In the meantime, there haven't been any notifications to trigger it.

Very weird.
