yep... just like in real life for me. I go out there for an hour each day the past 3 days and not so much as a nibble. Wonder how those developers knew? I guess it adjusts depending on the "fisherman" huh. lol

"Ultimate fishing simulator"? We all know the Dreamcast is the ultimate fishing console with their fishing games and their fishing controller.
Boy it gets even better...

lol,I finally caught my first fish..... it was barely bigger than the bait. In fact, it looks like it should be bait. A minnow or something. So I tried to throw it back... but because it was my first fish caught it forced me to keep it and hang it in the trophy room.

So I go to the trophy room... and it's this huuuuuuuuuuuugggge glorious room with fireplace blazing and enough wall space to mount a couple of big white sharks, and way over there in the bottom left corner of this big blank wall is a "trophy" of this minnow size fish.

Embarrasing...

but dead on right when it comes to my luck and fishing. I guess it really is the ULTIMATE fishing simulator. Sure is simulating my experience to a T.
Do you use Galaxy? Add me as a friend and I will join you in a game for some pointers.
I've been playing it all day and I love it.

I'm doing pretty well with it. If you need any tips let me know, though I still have A LOT to learn.
Largest fish I've managed to catch was only about 10 pounds.

:D

well, if nothing else youve made my day better with this post. ive just had to listen to two hours of rod stewart live - which is about as trophy as live music gets around here these days.

I take it the game is more of a genuine simulator than a "sega bass fishing" experience then?
Son of a bitch, I just realized I haven't caught a Rainbow Trout.
That was the first fish I ever caught IRL.

How depressing.
As a side note, more games need to integrate streaming radio as an option. I didn't know I needed this in my life.

If you like that, on gaben's cave of games there is a free game called "Russian Fishing 4" that is pretty good. You can craft your own bait and sell your fish at a fish market, even. Give it a try. I've spent a couple of hours with it and it's pretty fun. Can't beat the price, either (nothing).

Craft your own bait?

All jokes aside, check it out. It's pretty graphically intense, though. Makes my video card sound like a leaf blower.

And here I am unwilling to buy Ultimate Fishing Simulator until I upgrade. Even more intense, then?
