Some of my favorites:

1. Deadwood
2. Vikings
3. Boardwalk Empire
4. Better Call Saul
5. The Last Kingdom
6. Game of Thrones
7. Farscape
8. M*A*S*H
9. The Wild, Wild West
10. Hogan's Heroes
11. Rome
I mostly watch movies when not playing games. When I watch a show it's usually sci-fi because I'm a sci-fi addict, so I love all the Trek shows, X-Files, Battlestar, etc. I have the Stargate shows but haven't watched them yet just due to time.

For stuff that isn't sci-fi I really loved Sopranos and Deadwood, like most people. The Wire is good too, but I don't LOOOOVE it like some do. Penny Dreadful was kind of cool if you like old style gothic horror stuff. I don't like much modern horror but I do like gothic stuff. Game of Thrones and Westwood are okay, those are other ones I don't love like some others but they're fun.
I don't watch TV anymore, but a few years ago I kind of enjoyed the Spartacus series (Blood and sand, Gods of the arena etc.) as a guilty pleasure...the sex and the extreme violence appealed to me.
I also watched Breaking bad, but didn't like how the final season turned out, somewhat soured me on investing time in TV shows.

The Outer limits show from the 1990s can also be entertaining, though most of the episodes with their forced bad endings are overly depressing.

B&B....lol.
Breaking Bad
Better Call Saul
The Last Kingdom
The Office (US)
Parks and Rec
Whenever this is asked, I just jump in to say Babylon 5. Also don't watch much, but anything else I did watch just pales in comparison. And actually only watched it properly, in full, start to end, in 2007, after catching mostly pieces when it was on TV here in 2000 or so, so there's actually less nostalgia than you might be inclined to believe.
This month- Fleabag and What We Do in the Shadows.

Sentinel26: This month- Fleabag and What We Do in the Shadows.
Loved the movie What We Do in the Shadows, but haven't seen the show. I'll have to check it out!
Jessica Jones, Season 1 is perhaps the best thing I've seen on TV (aside from a couple of brilliant documentaries) in terms of story and production values, tone etc. Good to see a superhero series without said heroes wearing their undies uotside of a colourful second layer of skin.

From the vaults: Carnivale. Another best thing on TV.

Edit: Yup. I like gritty.
