FYI, this game shows up near the top of the Local 4-player Shoot 'em ups Steam Curator list which is how I personally found it.

I haven't finished it, but I'm 99% sure it does. But, yeah, everything I've played so far is four colours (and you can select from a bunch of different palettes)
