Let me rephrase that. Does one have to install, drm Galaxy to know it is bad or is it possible to look at its features, read what others have said and conclude „this is not what I want“ and therefore saying „Galaxy is in my very personal opinion a bad piece of software“?

... and in today's news, a renowned GOG astronomer shocks the international gaming community by declaring that, we quote: "Our Galaxy is a dangerous place."

I would probably use it once in a while if it wasn't soooooo slow and crashy...
I don't mind it, but don't really like it either. Besides, after starting to use gogrepo, 99% of what I wanted it to do is already covered, so, for me, it's mostly pointless.

Everytime I skim over the General Discussion thread list I read "What is Your Opinion About the Status of the Galaxy?" and think to myself:
"Hell. Now that's a topic!"
Now, since you tricked me to leave a message I can as well participate.
I use Galaxy as a glorified download manager only, because it remembers where to put my GOG installers on my backup drive, which is nice. Apart from that, so apart from downloading, it doesn't do anything except wasting space.
So I can't comment much about its performance when running all the time, while playing. I like that you can turn off cloud saves and achievements and the like, though.
