So when I got home last night from my trip, like always the fridge was empty so we had to scoot on over to the grocery store to get some dinner. Walking out to the garage, the wife tells me the new Fiesta ST is having transmission problems. 305 miles on it. Crap. Wouldn't go into 2nd, 4th, and, presumably, 6th. She drove it to the store and couldn't get those gears to work. I drove it back and couldn't get them to work, either. Well, 4th worked once but that was it.
Arranged to have it towed to Ford. Not pissed off about it, mostly because A) warranty, and B) we have other cars to drive so it's not a big deal to be without a car for a bit. Tow truck came by around noon to take it over there. Shop just called, four hours later, to say it was fixed. Uh, already? Yup. The guy told me that there was a walnut caught up in the linkage. lol. "You might want to put out a trap just in case it was a squirrel." hahhahahaa
