There is no official list for the time being. One forum member has decided to create an unofficial list with GOG games that worked for him on the current version of Windows 10.

Can you give me a link to that list and if games dont work when windows 10 is released do you think its a driver issue or game update issue that needs to be solved by the game producers?
In my opinion it is always a good idea to keep older os's. VMware, virtual box, dual boot etc. Lots of options. As for win 10, meh, leave it for a year or two so they can iron out the bugs.

I already gave you that link above. Try clicking the semi-underlined "unofficial list" part of my post above.

If it works with Windows 8 then it will probably work with Windows 10, but there is no official support for it yet.
Windows 10 makes me nervous about long-term compatibility with older games. If this really is going to be the "last version of windows" complete with forced updates-- What is preventing an update from removing previous compatibility options?

I highly doubt they will remove compatibility options, on the contrary since 10 will pretty much keep the same base it adds more pressure on MS to keep all software compatible. Otherwise they could break windows 10 software that was made before the updates which would not be ideal.
Basically, the games that can be played on Windows 8 can also be played on Windows 10, but I think you can wait a few months till Windows 10 becomes more stable,

Not at first, but if Microsoft really does continue to iterate on and change Windows 10 then it is conceivable that compatibility with some older titles may break in the name of progress. Keep in mind there are still Win 98 games that work in Windows 8.

Microsoft has stated that updates will be more than just security and include changes and additions to windows itself. Which is fine, if updates were not forced, or if you could opt out of the non-security changes.

Basically its not the security updates that worry me, it is the possibility of Windows itself changing over a long period of time to become something fundamentally different from what it currently is.

I'm jumping on-board. Win10 will be the standard and it's free. So if something doesn't work, then it just won't work.

That said, I have an XP laptop for old gaming, so I don't have everything to lose.
