blotunga: I have no clue, but i want to shave off some stuff from my wishlist so a sale would be welcome. Too many great new releases without a decent discount.
If they're genuinely great, just buy them.

Buying games on sale just tells GOG and developers that customers won't pay for good games, so why bother releasing them? The only way to get more of the games you like is to vote with your wallet and buy them when they aren't 80% off.

I really am convicted by a similar line of thinking; The better games should be in mind bought at a higher price if they really are good games, It also seems to place more of a playable value to the game than the on sale ones. I just wish at the moment I had the extra money for the games I want right now :\

I also should note I do/did get most of my games on sale and do get a few from giveaways here and there though I've been trying to curve that a bit nowadays.

It's easy in the US or other developed countries to think like this, but for me buying a game with $30 is as much as i pay for electricity...
In some countries 30$ is quite a fortune.

That's about a weeks worth of food for me(by myself not family), I have no idea what that compares to other countries though

Indeed. That's why I'm somehow of a supporter when it comes to regional pricing

saber-rattling intensifies... :P

I'm kiddin' pal. Cost of living is something so diverse it get un-measurable sometimes :)

Even in third world countries cost of living depends on where do they live.
In some areas people earn 15$ as monthly wage.
$30 buys 300 packets of Top Ramen here. That's enough to sustain you for a month, which appropriately is about how long it would take an all-ramen diet to kill you.

I agree with you there.

Unfortunately, regional pricing isn't perfect either because rich people from poor regions get lower prices and poor people from rich regions get high prices.
In my opinion, it would be ideal if we had an efficient pay-what-you-want/-can system that is not easily exploitable because even for a rich person who only wants to play one game for a short amount of time a lower price would be justified.

I just eat a lot of beans, sausage(sometimes together), cereal(with milk), chicken(cheap), pork(on sale), lamb(sometimes), potatoes. Fruits, Juices and Beef very little of but just enough get by. And I can't live without tea or coffee :)
Yeah is is about time for an end of summer sale. It always happens when I am broke usually and right now I have money to blow so I have probably jinxed myself.

An Insomnia sale would be great right about now.

I know so many people that live like here that it's sad that they need their iphone or new car so badly that they go cheap on food.
During my college I used to eat ramen with veggies so much that I stopped now when I got cronic jaundice and remained on my bed for 2 months. :P

30$ was total cost of meds that I got.
