ResidentLeever: Watchmojo sucks, but that example is not bad because it's adlib, it's more because it's poorly done adlib (though personally I didn't think that sounded horrible or anything).
I guess the main problem with that Adlib example was that the Roland MT-32 music and sound effects was made first, and then they apparently just tried to "port" it to Adlib fast.
With the MT-32 version it sounds like someone is playing some musical instrument on the town market, and on top of that there are sound effects like a dog barking, someone building something (hammering wood), some people talking etc... and especially those extra sound effects make the Adlib version sound weird as they sound nothing like intended and you can't really tell them apart from the music.
I guess my main objection was that that rating suggests that King's Quest 5 (PC version) has poor music, while in reality it means "poor music if you are restricted to Adlib/Soundblaster". A bit like complaining that the music sucks with PC beeper (one could claim that most PC users didn't yet have any sound card, not even Adlib, back when King's Quest 5 was released).
