I've recently stumbled (twice?) on this game:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=kr.co.roigames.whiteday.g&referrer=utm_source%3D42matters.com%26utm_medium%3DWidgetWeb

I'm not really a die-hard fan of horror, but the description pulled me in, what's with the school setting, the multiple endings, and most importantly, being what you would call a console experience on Android. That and the price is half off. The deal seems to last until the 20th of March.

Thoughts?
For what might count as political reasons, I would go with no.

Basically, it comes down to this:
1. The Play Store allows DRM on the store.
2. The Play Store actually provides a method of DRM. I see this as significantly worse than 1.
3. There is no clear indication of DRM. The permission that allows the DRM to work is not considered a serious one, and I am not sure if it is even displayed before you purchase the game anymore.

Therefore, if you are anti-DRM, I would not purchase any software from the Play Store.

(Incidentally, this is identical to the situation with Steam, so whatever your feelings about Steam are, they are equally applicable to the Play Store.)
I can install apps bought from any account on any other phone without an account just fine. All I need is the APK + OBB/Data (if there are any). If they are things such as being required to install an updated Google Play Services, I'd put this on the same pedestal as having to install DirectX 9 or VCRedist before playing any game on the PC that requires them. Not much a deal breaker here, and that's why I'm perfect with Google Play.
I don't actually know anything about this game (Corpse Party meets PT?) but this page tells me a PC version is very close behind, so if you prefer a desktop experience I'd wait for that.

That said, I'm watching a gameplay video and it looks wicked. 5 bucks is a good deal.

I'm far from interested in a desktop experience, that and I might be losing out on the deal if I wait for the PC experience and find out it's Only Available on Steam™. Anyways, it's good to hear you're interested. That and it's for $3.5, not $5, unless you're not using US dollars.
Yeah, that page must be showing my regional price in Aussie Land funbucks.

If it appeals to you and you think you'll play it, buy it. $3.50 is not a lot of money.

Yeah, but I'm looking for not being burnt in the end, is all.

White Day follows the main character and his fellow female students who are trapped in a "Labyrinth Named School," while they struggle to survive.
A game about people trapped in a Korean school, locked in a bitter struggle for survival? Are you sure this game isn't about Korean foreign English teachers? I kid, I kid. $3.50 isn't too much for money to throw away on the Google Play store. My real quibble with it is that it has IAP.

Oh, and "a labyrinth named school" doesn't make any sense. (Perhaps, you meant to say, "The Labyrinthine School"?)

Well, first you can google it, read about it, watch stuff on it on YouTube, ...

Then you can buy it and try it, and you have two hours to get a refund, or an infinite amount of hours if the devs are nice. (I got a refund for Goat Simulator months after I bought it by contacting the devs.)
