apfelnymous: An example of a game that at least for the first hours left me clueless and eager for more: RDR2's randomly generated world events and Worlddetails managed to make me wonder what is there still to find ?!

BreOl72: Well that's nice - and it may have that certain feeling of awe for everyone playing it (or any game like it) for the first time.
But is it the same for someone who played a lot of similar games in the past?
After all, the same random events and world details could be found in other open world games already.
So - was it your first open world game, or your first RDR?
It was my first RDR, but not the first open world rockstar game, I knew they would use similiar gameplay elements like in gtaV, but the poorly generated random events from that one have been fairly improved.

Darvond: Well, most recently an unknown game that made me happy was SaGa 3.
What version, the original Game Boy version, its English translation (Final Fantasy Legend 3, yes there *are* some gameplay differences), or the Nintendo DS remake that got released in Japan (which changed so much that it could be considered a different game at this point)?

The DS version is worth playing if you've played the original and have a way to play it (though it suffers from a frustratingly high encounter rate in the later part of the game). If you've played the DS remake, it's worth playing the original or its English translation, given how much of the game was changed.

FFL3 GB, I feel I may have mentioned this before.
Last action/adventure game i really enjoyed was Nier Automata.

As for RPG. Hmmm... WAS enjoying one (RPGMaker type), but one particular point was annoying and i had to stop... Might get back to it later and grind the levels or get past the one fight that was annoying me.
used to love the old sniper elite game which GOG has here the original from 14 years ago, but looking at it now i dnt wanna buy it or play it when v2 and v3 are the bet in the series, v4 is ok but i think the levels are to large, but if rebellion ever made a fallout style open world sniper elite id be happy with that doing jobs for people etc to assasinate x target. ofc liking open world u would think why dnt i like sniper elite 4, well its the fact its set in italy and i dnt like the art style of italy in the game and it seems to also borrow alot of assasins creed esque things to .
