Edit: this one is for making a backup of the files that I've already downloaded. My library is not that big so I can easily manage with the old GOG Downloader to download the installers to my laptop, then I use SyncBackFree to make a backup to my external hard drive. If what you need is to download loads of games from the GOG website, the script toxicTom linked to is a good option.

i bet gog team do their best to improve this situation, but it is small market yet , so they have to do extra effort to negotiate better prices...

tbh id rather pay a little more on GOG for games, cos they are DRM free and u can download offline installers for those games, MEANING YOU OWN YOUR GAMES,

with steam you do not own your games nor c an you make offline installer backups to play them, if you have games on s team you have to have steam installed on your pc to play them, with GOG you can just buy it o nthe website install and run, no launcher, no DRM.

i will never support a scumbag company like valve who owns steam, the worst thing is when games in steam require additional accounts to be created on the games website to play, final fantasy 7 was on of these games you need a squareenix account to play it

GOG used to have bigger discounts more frequently. I think they prefer to sell at higher margins and maybe it's more profitable overall. I don't buy much here anymore because of it

I do, and that is the only thing that matters to me personally.

I currently have 1799 GOG games, and one reason I prefer buying games from GOG, even if the same game is available DRM-free on Humble Store or Steam or Epic or EA Origin, is because thanks to gogrepo tool, it is quite easy to download my whole library of GOG installers, and also later check and download any updates to them. (I recall Humble Store having some a bit similar third-party tool at some point, but no idea if it is maintained anymore as HS is nowadays little more than a Steam key seller).

I may replace Cobian Backup with SyncBackFree (I use it to "synchronize" some files between PCs) and I may check the gogrepo thing to see what it does (I have already downloaded all my games and extras and use the notification on GOG library to get the new updates for them so it's not really needed for me)
