rjbuffchix: Perhaps this is a stupid question, but are those versions on Gamesplanet DRM-free? Is there any client or anything required to download, any restrictions on them, etc?

Hustlefan: The Gamesplanet version is definitely DRM-free. I bought it myself some time ago. You get an offline installer which can be downloaded directly on their website, no client necessary.
Just keep in mind it might not stay that way. If Nacon makes a big deal about version parity then Frogwares might be ordered to make the Gamesplanet version DRMed.

I know this is a bit late but thanks for answering.

I do share the concern of a later poster who pointed out just because it was DRM-free it might not stay that way.

I wonder what the odds are of a GOG release...it is really frustrating for us DRM-free gamers who have to hope and hope and hope that a game being sold DRM-free somewhere else actually stays that way! (there are numerous examples of games that were supposedly DRM-free on Scheme only to add DRM later).
